  • National Cooperative - Fayetteville
  • National Bank & Trust - Georgetown, Mt. Orab and Sardinia
  • First State Bank - Ripley and Georgetown
  • Merchants National Bank - Mt. Orab, Higginsport, and Georgetown

(payments may be made until close of business on the due date)

Mail Payments:

    Please mail your payments early. Due date postmarks will be accepted but it is your responsibility to make sure that your payment has an acceptable postmark.

Please Examine Your Bills:

    Please return bills wrongfully sent and provide us with correct names and addresses.  Failure to receive a bill does not excuse failure or delay in payment of your taxes.

Tax Installment Payment Plan:

    If you are interested in paying your taxes by the month, click the Tax Installment Payment Plan menu link on the left side of this page for more information. If you have questions please contact the Treasurer's office.

Delinquent Payment Plan:

    We are able to offer plans to help with the payment of your delinquent taxes. Click the Delinquent Tax Payment Options menu link on the left side of this page for more information. If you have questions please contact the Treasurer's office.

Homestead Exemption:

    You may receive a reduction in your property tax if you qualify for the Homestead Exemption. More Information call Brown County Auditor Office.

    Qualifications:

  • You are 65 or older or are permanently disabled.
  • You are a surviving spouse between 59 and 64 whose property was already receiving the exemption.
  • You own and live in the residence receiving the exemption.
  • Make application for exemption by the 1st Monday in June.

Valuation complaints:

    Complaints must be filed by with in the Brown County Auditor office before April 1st. Call the County Auditor with questions or complaints on Valuation.
